Domain Expert – ZenCube (Computer Science)

About the role

ZenV Quantum is building the next generation of industry-ready technology talent through ZenCube, our flagship execution-oriented learning and talent platform. ZenCube moves project members beyond classroom theory into real project environments, where they work on structured modules, industry-aligned projects and live problem statements under the guidance of experienced Domain Experts.

As Domain Expert – ZenCube (Computer Science), you will be the primary technical guide and mentor for project members enrolled in the ZenCube program. You will work closely with learners throughout their project journey: helping them understand core Computer Science and software concepts, guiding them through modules on industry workflows, and handholding them as they turn theoretical knowledge into practical, production-ready outcomes.

This is a high-impact role that combines deep technical expertise with strong mentoring and facilitation skills. You will play a critical part in shaping job-ready talent for the software industry. The role is based in Hyderabad, with travel to or work from client locations as required by cohort and client projects.

What you’ll do

• Mentoring and handholding: act as the primary Domain Expert and mentor for assigned cohorts, run one-on-one and group mentoring sessions, and handhold project members through design, development, testing and delivery.
• Project guidance: guide project members on project modules, architecture decisions, coding standards and best practices, and review their code, design documents, test cases and documentation with constructive, actionable feedback.
• Industry workflow exposure: take project members through requirement understanding and system design, coding standards, version control and collaborative development, unit, integration and system testing, and debugging, optimisation and deployment.
• Curriculum and module support: help deliver and continuously improve Computer Science and software technology modules, aligned with current industry tools, frameworks and practices.
• Assessment and progress tracking: evaluate progress against technical and project milestones, give structured feedback, and identify skill gaps early with targeted interventions.
• Collaboration: work closely with ZenCube Program Managers, fellow Domain Experts and internal teams, and coordinate with client or partner organisations on external problem statements.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software technologies or Computer Science domains.
• Strong foundation in core Computer Science: Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, DBMS, Operating Systems, Networks and related areas.
• Proven experience in software design, development, testing and delivery.
• Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices: Agile/Scrum, version control, CI/CD basics and code reviews.
• Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, structured, student-friendly way.
• Demonstrated experience or strong inclination toward mentoring, teaching or guiding junior engineers and learners.
• Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work from Hyderabad and flexibility to travel or work from client locations as required.

Skills and qualifications

• Programming languages: Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent.
• Web and backend: server-side frameworks, APIs and microservices architecture.
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL, including modelling, querying and performance considerations.
• Software architecture: architectural styles and design patterns, with sound trade-off reasoning.
• Testing and quality assurance: testing frameworks and QA practices across unit, integration and system levels.
• Cloud and engineering tooling: cloud fundamentals, DevOps awareness and modern tools across the development lifecycle.

Good to have

• Prior experience in mentoring, corporate training, teaching or campus hiring programs.
• Experience in product companies, IT services or product engineering teams.
• Exposure to project-based learning, outcome-based education or work-integrated learning models.
• Familiarity with current industry tools and platforms used across the software development lifecycle.
• Passion for talent development and contributing to India’s technology workforce readiness.
